Gino's East: Experience Authentic Chicago-Style Deep-Dish Pizza in Lake Geneva

As Chicago style pizza lovers, my husband and I were so excited to see this attached to our hotel. We went and sat at the bar. Brittany was great! We enjoyed our pizza and drinks and never had to wait for anything! She had great advice on the area as well. The manager was there and made sure to check in with everyone in the place. We will be back for sure!

Tried this location this past July after visiting Safari Lake Geneva. The way I look at it if we're gonna make it out this far from our home in Beach Park IL just a few miles south of Kenosha, may as well walk around downtown. It was a fairly hot one that day in the mid 80s and after that exhausting walk from the car, was hoping to walk into a nice air conditioned venue but I was wrong. If the AC was on, it wasn't pushing much needed cool air on a hot day. Anyways the pizza here is good if not a bit pricy, maybe not quite the experience as down in South Loop in terms of taste and the vibe but the service was prompt and friendly and the tables were clean. If ever up this way again, maybe we'll come up in the spring or fall on a calm cool day instead. There's not too many of these around and sadly no more in Lake County so I hope for continued boomin' business for the owner(s).

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Five-Star Night at Gino’s East, Lake Geneva We recently visited Gino’s East at Lake Geneva and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The restaurant boasts that classic Chicago-style deep-dish pizza everyone loves—rich, cheesy, and flavorful. We also tried the thin crust this time, and it was awesome—crispy edges, just the right balance of toppings, and overall a delicious contrast to their signature deep dish. . What truly elevated our evening was the service—especially from bartender Britney. She was warm, attentive, and had a great energy that lit up the whole place. Britney took the time to recommend craft beers and specialty cocktails, and she crafted each drink with flair. She handled everything with a smile, even when the bar was busy, making us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. Highlights: Deep-dish & thin-crust pizzas—both are excellent (thin crust is a hidden gem). Bartender Britney—engaging, knowledgeable, and attentive. Lindsey- was also very accomodating, after traveling after long hard week of work and arriving late night. Great variety—salads, pastas, desserts, and craft beverages. Vibrant but welcoming atmosphere, with a scenic lakefront patio. Overall, Gino’s East in Lake Geneva delivered excellent food and top-tier hospitality—especially thanks to Britney at the bar. Don’t miss this spot for a memorable pizza meal with great service!

Stayed at the harbor Shores Hotel in Lake Geneva, with the Ginos attached. Sat by the pool for a while, got hungry and went to order takeout. Was told of the kitchen was slammed, and take out orders on pause. Sat the bar, had an iced tea, and the bartender Emily Made sure that we eventually got some service. When we made our order, we got the sweet-and-sour chicken wings and a medium pepperoni pizza thin crust. The food was delicious! Atmosphere was pleasant, eating at the bar was just what we needed. We’ve eaten here before, last summer and the food was very good. Gino did not disappoint this time around!

Enjoyed our visit to Gino’s east in lake Geneva, WI. Service was outstanding, pizza was out of this world but there were some minor issues. We had visitors in from out of town who needed their deep dish fix. Have been to this location many times over the years as well as other locations in chicago. Arrived at 6:30 pm on a Tuesday night in mid June. It was getting busy but we were seated immediately at a table at the window with a nice view of the lake. By 7 pm there were folks waiting for tables. Brittany seated us and was also our server. She mentioned she was also the bartender and a manager. She was great- constantly on the move, checking in with us and her other tables, running food and drinks . She was also patient, knowledgeable, funny and friendly. Deep dish takes about 40 minutes to bake so we got our food order in with our drinks. Drinks arrived quickly. Next up was our chopped salad which was unfortunately lame- tomato’s were very over ripe (at least 2 were spoiling), the cubes of chicken were very dry and had a weird texture. A big disappointment. The pizza is the star of the show and it did NOT disappoint. Incredible crust, saucey, well seasoned, generous toppings, a sea of molten cheese. Unique and wonderful. One minor hassle- we ordered anchovies on half but unfortunately the kitchen didn’t designate which half as Brittany instructed. She carefully probed around and established the anchovy perimeter for us at the table. The dining room is clean but overall there are some maintenance and housekeeping things that customers can see in back of house, service areas and even outside which deserve some attention. Near the end of the meal Brittany checked in and asked how things were. Pizza was great but salad needed improvement. She was interested in the specifics and despite me saying that we did not want an adjustment on the bill, she removed the charge. There are some attention to detail issues in kitchen and the building. All that said , the pizza is great, Brittany was a very good server and we will be back soon.

Very good deep dish pizza and chicken wings. The salad with blur cheese was amazing. The service was excellent and you greeted by a young lady that really love her job her name is Lindsay. Wonderful place to raft with a wonderful view of Lake Geneva.
